Desenvolvimento vegetativo e produção de doze copas de lima ácida ‘Tahiti’ combinados com dois porta-enxertos

Abstract

Brazil has great relevance in citrus planting. Acid lime 'Tahiti' (Citrus latifolia Tanaka), has great production potential due to its multiple flowering, which can cause productions practically all year round. There is little diversity of varieties of crowns and rootstocks used for planting this crop, therefore, there is a need to obtain new suitable combinations of crowns/rootstocks, which induce superior plant quality. Thus, the objective was to evaluate the vegetative development and the production of twelve cups of Lima Acid ‘Tahiti’ combined with two rootstocks. The experiment was conducted at Fazenda José Guarete, belonging to Empresa Bello Fruit, in São Mateus – ES. A randomized block design was used, in the split plot scheme, where the plot consisted of two rootstocks, Citromelo Swingle and Citrandarin Riverisse, and twelve varieties of hearts constituting the subplot (Bello Fruit, Elédio, Iconha, Itarana, Santa Rosa, Bearss Lime, BRS Passos, Persian 58, CNPMF 01, CNPMF 02, CNPMF 2001, and CNPMF 5059). Evaluations were carried out for two years for the characteristics: vegetative development; production and productive efficiency; internal and external quality of 'Tahiti' acid lime fruits. The Bello fruit, Iconha, BRS Passos, Itarana and Persian 58, CNPMF 5059, CNPMF 02 crowns were superior in all evaluated characteristics. The Citromelo Swingle rootstock was the one that induced the best results for vegetative characteristics, and the Citrandarin Riverside rootstock induced the best production quality for the crowns studied
