Resumo
It carries out a study of some poetic writings by the Portuguese poet António Ferreira – especially of his sonnets, odes and epistles – observing how, in those writings, are presented and represented the relation between the sixteenth century European cultures and the other cultures; and identifying, in that poetry, a set of ethic precepts that lines with the violence of the modern imperialism, in the confrontation between the colonizer and the colonized.
