Abstract

The objective of this research is to contribute to the elucidation of the thematic and ideological content of the poems by Augusto dos Anjos. Will be addressed here its scientific and religious references, the mysticism, the psychoanalytic drives, the rhetoric, the anxiety of the poetic self augustiano and the death. The basic source of this study is the compilation, Eu e Outras Poesias by Augusto dos Anjos. The analysis of the poems contained in this work aims to provide an overview of the complexity of that poet who is often classified as pre-modernist.
