Denúncia e sensibilidade : a produção fotográfica de Nair Benedicto

Abstract

This work investigates the photographic production of Nair Benedicto, carried out between 1970 and 1985, particularly on the works in which the content denounced the political and social situation of Brazil marked by the military dictatorship (1964-1985). The research aims to analyze how the author's imagery has contributed to the strengthening of the second wave of the feminist movement in the face of the repressive political context resulting from military authoritarianism. We also reflected on the works that intended to report the consequences of censorship both for society as a whole and for women, thus problematizing gender issues.
