A dengue em um município de pequeno porte do Estado do Espírito Santo, Brasil : um olhar sobre as notificações compulsórias

Abstract

Introduction: Dengue is a viral disease that presents itself as a major public health problem worldwide. In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of reported cases of dengue in the southeastern region of Brazil, especially in Espírito Santo. These suspected or confirmed cases of dengue should be reported in the SINAN Notification Disease Information System. In this way, the data inserted in this system represent an important source of information for epidemiological studies and for the evaluation of the quality of the service. Objectives: To analyze the data quality of the dengue notification sheets informed in SINAN regarding the completeness of the fields; to create a proposal for an online course on the Epidemiological Surveillance of dengue and to prepare an Epidemiological Bulletin of dengue for the municipality of Fundão-ES.
