We revisited a model-independent cosmic acceleration estimator based on the distance modulus presented in (SEIKEL; SCHWARZ, 2008) and initially apply it to type Ia supernova data and mock catalogs to test the coherence with the other methods. Then we update and extend the number of observational data of our study with a more recent catalog of SN Ia and we tested the use of the catalog of 1598 Quasars applied as standard candle as the work (RISALITI; LUSSO, 2019) (later updated). Our results test the tension on Ωm0, discussed in (RISALITI; LUSSO, 2019), indicating a value greater than the standard one. We discuss the impact of this observations on the H0 and wde parameters and compare the confidence that the use of QSO data bring to the analysis compared to the SN Ia data.
