Atendimento educacional especializado à criança com baixa visão de zero a três anos na educação infantil

Resumo

The research analyzed the educational service specialized in the context of Early Childhood Education for children from zero to three years with low vision. The specific objectives were: to analyze the educational service specialized in the municipal policy of Vitória to the child with low vision in the age group from zero to three years, in what corresponds to the curricular proposal for this age group in Childhood Education; To describe the specialized educational service to the child with low vision in interface with the pedagogical work developed in the activity room. For that, we developed a qualitative exploratory research, having as methodological instruments: observation, field diary and semi-structured interview. We base the thematic investigated in the assumptions of the historical-cultural approach, mainly in the studies of Vygotsky. The research site was an Infant Education institution of a municipality in the Greater Vitória / ES Metropolitan Region. The subjects of the research were the siblings with low vision, João and Paulo, the regent teachers of their respective rooms of activities, the special education teacher, the mother, the special education managers, the pedagogue and the director of that institution and the Coordinator of full-time actions in Early Childhood Education. We organized the data in four categories of analysis, namely: 1) the specialized educational service according to the municipal policy of Vitoria: a look at the child with low vision; 2) the educational work proposed by the CMEI "Olhares": representations of institutional documents; 3) inclusion and visual impairment: perception and meanings reflected by the teachers and managers of the CMEI "Olhares"; 4) The specialized educational service and the inclusion of the child with low vision in the CMEI "Olhares". We analyze the data based on the perspective of the Marxist method. The results indicated that in order to carry out the specialized educational service of a child with a low vision of zero to three years in the area of Early Childhood Education, it is also necessary to discuss the curricular conceptions indicated for this age group, its peculiarities, Practice inseparable from the binomial care versus education, the proposal of care for the common room and the resource room. Regarding the care of this child with low vision, the research pointed out that it is still necessary to think about an educational practice that promotes the overall development of this child and problematizes the early intervention based on a proposal for early stimulation.
