Resumo
This dissertation aims to analyze the jury system in the 19th century and its relation to the lack of control by elective authorities. During this historical period, the jury played a crucial role in administering justice, representing popular participation in trials and ensuring impartiality in decision-making. However, it was found that the lack of control by elective authorities over the jury led to various challenges and issues. The dissertation examines the key aspects of this lack of control, highlighting the negative consequences for the administration of justice and public trust in the legal system.
