Determinação da taxa de transporte de sedimentos na zona de espraiamento de um trecho da Praia de Camburi, Vitória - ES

Abstract

The action of the waves in the transport of sediment in the swash zone was studied. The present work calculated through experimental data the taxes of transport of sediment in the swash zone of a stretch of Camburi beach, Vitória-ES. The gotten results had also been used to show the performance of the energetic model of Bagnold in foreseeing the taxes of transport of in this region. The experimental taxes had been calculated through the statement of the morfodinamics changes in the swash zone during the 10 initial minutes of five consecutive events. It was collected data to height and direction of the incident waves. To supply the model to be tested, data of speed of the wave in the swash and inclination of the beach had been also collected. The speed measured for this study was the longshore average speed of a swash cycle. The transport taxes found experimentally varied of - 0,076 (Kg /s)/ A to 0,079 (Kg /s)/ A and the values found with the application of the chosen analytical model had coefficients of correlation of r = 0,11; r = 0,31; r = 0,41, r = 0,54 and r = 0,82 . Significant taxes of transport of sediment in the region in question had been evaluated. The model better represented the negative experimental taxes of transport of what the positive.
