Simulação de aplicações financeiras: relato de experiência com uso da inter-relação entre temas no ensino médio

Resumo

The present work aims to simulate, in high school classes, the realization of financial applications with real data from the financial market. The execution of this proposal relates two groups of high school mathematics themes which are: linear function, arithmetic progression and simple interest; and exponential function, geometric progression and compound interest. The student is invited to participate in a stage of the teaching-learning process that presents a directed and engaging sequence of activities and lessons related to distinct but related contents. The interrelation between these groups of contents is presented through active teaching methodologies and is indispensable for the acquisition of the skills and knowledge considered necessary for the adequate realization of financial applications. The final stage involves the practical experience of simulating financial applications in fixed income products available on the market. The report of the experience in high school classes, considered satisfactory, is highlighted and presented as the main product of this work. The suggested lesson plan provided can be applied or adapted to various school realities.
