Resumo

It has been investigated from the perspective of Jean Piaget, aspects of moral development of children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). According to Piaget all morality consists of a system of rules, and the essence of all morality is found in the respect that the individual acquires for these rules, it’s, therefore, of utmost importance the establishment of rules for understanding the moral development in child. Participated in the research 20 male subjects, including 10 aged 10 years and 10 with 15, all diagnosed with ADHD and under treatment at the pediatric clinic of the UHCAM-UFES (University Hospital Cassiano Antônio Moraes). Moral development was investigated through MDLAI (Moral Development Level Assessment Instrument). Data analysis was primarily qualitative and, on it, was prepared categories by which were established: Response level to Item (RLI) and the General Levels of Moral Development (GLMD). The main results obtained permitted to confirm that children with 10 years had lower levels of both the RLI as the GLMD compared to teenagers of 15 years, but both publics had discrepancy in moral development compared with Piaget's theory. We conclude that both children and teens built an incomplete system under prescribed rules, these rules that remain outside the consciousness and do not allow a real transformation of his trial.
