To assess the quality of life in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction, cross-cultural adaptation of the Myocardial Infarction Dimensional Assessment Scale (MIDAS) was performed using the theoretical framework of Guillemin, Bombardier e Beaton (1993), dealing with the English language to Brazilian Portuguese. For the implementation of a systematic review study about the processes of cross-cultural adaptation of the quality of life was taken, highlighting key theoretical frameworks and the way this methodology is implemented. The adaptation of MIDAS was performed in compliance with the following steps: translation, back translation, review authors, panel of judges and pre-test, with which they craved the semantic, conceptual, and cultural idiomatic equivalences. The scale is easily applied and clinical importance. Thus, it requires further evaluate the psychometric properties.
