In this dissertation, we seek to put in question the medical education located on the corridors of the emergence of a public hospital in the metropolitan region of Vitória in Espírito Santo. Here, we bring work situations established during times of medical training. The medical internship comes into question as a process of trial of labor in which curiosity and the novelty of the first procedures performed propel the conquest of the hospital as a place of experimentation to be a doctor. The residency gains visibility for their urgency to learning and the way they organize their work process. On the achievement of autonomy in choosing which aspects of care and the burden of living a process of working / training as intense. Medical work in emergency takes place in this dissertation by presenting itself as the way to expand the understanding by negotiated to meet the demands of variability, common to sectors Emergency Department of Public Brazil. Activity constantly provisional time of composition skills valued by the labor market doctor. We understand the work as a major element of training. Therefore qualify medical work inserted in the times of training. Why invest in training that goes beyond the classical sense of time that is bound to a formal process of knowledge acquisition. Training goes beyond the academic path and makes sense as a process of production of subjects.
