Desenhos animados e desenhos infantis : relações de experiência e memória.

Abstract

This research addresses the relationship of memory and experience in cartoons and children’s drawings of children of the first year of the first cycle of elementary school. This is a qualitative research case study of the co-participant, which emphasizes the active participation of the subjects involved. We use the approach of the sociology of childhood, under the direction of the theoretical writings of Manuel Jacinto Sarmento, to give voice to the children, raising them to the category of subjects in the research. The focus of this research is the production of graphics for children, whose speech is constructed based on the relations of memory and experience with the environment where she lives and works in symbolic exchanges that take place between parents and peers and access to products from the television media, particularly the cartoons. The theoretical basis is based on the concepts of childhood, memory and experience according to Walter Benjamin, whose developments make it possible to dialogue with other authors such as Jeanne Marie Gagnebin and Giorgio Agamben. As for the children’s drawing, the studies bring César Cola and Rosa Iavelberg, whose contributions have helped us think about the design that produces the child related to the cartoon she watches on television. To mediate between childhood, experience and memory in Art Education, we establish dialogue with Ana Mae Barbosa and Analice Dutra Pillar whose contributions related to the cartoon enriched our work. These discussions aim to expand our knowledge about how the child conceives his drawings, based on the sources of audiovisual media, with its reference to relations with peers and family, consisting of experiences and visual memories.
