Resumo
This Master’s dissertation has as an objective to comprehend the Gay Identity through the entertainment consumption. The search for entertainment promotes diverse social interactions in such environments, motivating the production of a specific culture for this consumer niche. To it, it is aggregated various acquisitions of goods which characterize its public and contribute for it to be a site rich in status and power markers, besides the construction of its own characteristics, making a solid and representative analysis possible through its historical and social process, in conformity with a literature that permits a reading of the reality in an objective and lucid manner.
