Literatura e testemunho no romance Em câmara lenta, de Ranato Tapajós

Abstract

This paper analyzes the novel Em câmara lenta, by Renato Tapajós (1977), regarding the studies of "testimonial literature". This novel was chosen because of (a) it represents a very important period in Brazil history - the military dictatorship after 1964 - and (b) because it assembles relevant characteristics of a testimonial as literary expression. Thus, texts and studies, such as the ones by Márcio Seligmann-Silva, Primo Levi, Giorgio Agamben and Jaime Ginzburg were essential for this reflection, besides other specific critic works about the romance.
