A produção do espaço urbano e as áreas de transição rural-urbana : o caso do Município de Cariacica

Abstract

In the last decades of the twentieth century urbanization process was characterized by the emergence of new centers and modification of traditional neighborhoods. These, traditionally locus of spontaneous occupation, became the target of formal housing market, performance through the implementation of projects aimed at different income segments represented by gated communities, driven by federal program “Minha Casa, Minha Vida”. The development of this research is to analyze the relation between this form of production of the city and influence the production of space in the areas of rural-urban transition, taking as a case study the various condominiums being built in the city of Cariacica.
