Resumo

The increasing numbers of undergraduates who do not work in their field of expertise, or that are otherwise unemployed points towards the need of discussions approaching both the subject in transition from their undergraduate course to the formal workforce, as well as the capability of those who hold a degree to acquire and maintain a job in the market. In vocational psychology studies there is a need to investigate the amount of capabilities, resources, personal and situational qualities that are related to the phenomenon. This dissertation research’s goal was to adapt the Career Resources Questionnaire for Students to the Brazilian context, raising initial evidence of its validity and exploiting its prior and consequential relations. The study was performed with a sample of 463 graduate students, from which 237(51.2%) declared to identify as female and 225 (48.6%) declared to indentify as males. The age average of the participants was of de 23.5 years old (DP = 6.2 years). The adapted version of QRC-E showed indicators of validity and trustworthiness favoring its use, dividing 12 career resources into 4 dimensions (Human capital resources, ω = 0,82; Contextual career resources, ω = 0,79; Motivational resources, ω = 0,88; e Carrer management behaviors, ω = 0,89). Two structural equation models were tested observing the prior career adaptability relations and the psychological capital over resources. These models also test also the relations of prediction from the employability resources noticed, self-efficiency and career affections. Multiple linear regression models evaluated specifically the career resource dimensions impacts over employability and positive affections, explaining respectively 33.4% and 28.5% from both constructs. The implications of these founds were discussed and new researches suggested
