Abstract

The purpose of this research is to weave reflections on the poetic process of the Brazilian artist José Bechara, focusing on the pictorial field, focusing on the creative processes between 1992 and 2002. paintings, which go against the path of making, revealed other meanings in the field of meaning of the materiality itself used in the pictorial surface. His creation process presents a communication with respect to matter and temporality. Therefore, the research proposes dialogues that guide the experiments in painting and the aesthetic occurrences with reflections in relation to time, matter and memory. However, bibliographies that communicate with the field of art and philosophy were used. Therefore, this study points out poetic interactions in José Bechara's creative process and how they configure with the unfolding of contemporary Brazilian painting.
