Resumo
The following research is part of an effort to better understand a specific territory: the Village of Regência Augusta, located on the right mouth of the Rio Doce in Espírito Santo. The study is based on the identification of three key elements, namely, festivities, food and the common. Based on fieldwork, bibliographic and documentar reviews, among other methodologies, we seek to elaborate a narrative of the territory in question from its colonization undertaken in the XIX century to the present day. In order to develop a deeper study, we reflect on the world we live in, dealing with production relationships at a global level and how Regência Augusta is inserted in this context and how this is reflected in the Productions of their traditional festivals, their food and social relantionships based on the common
