Resumo

This dissertation analyzes the issue of professional qualification of young people, a phenomenon that is highlighted in the economic crisis scenario, because of the greater difficulty of this group to get put in the labor market. Thus, it is important to analyze the changes that happen to economics and politics to understand its impact on the professionalization of youth. The research problem that arises is the attempt to answer the following question: What is described by the law governing the Apprenticeship is being fulfilled the working practices of learners? To this end, the general objective is to measure in which aspects of the Lei da Aprendizagem Profissional (N° 10.097/2000) is being fulfilled in practice by Apprenticeship programs that are included students of the Colégio Estadual do Espírito Santo. The general objective was broken down into specific objectives to facilitate the ability to respond to problems of this dissertation, as describe how the current stage of capitalist economic development is connected to the training model in Brazil; analyze the specific legislation governing the Apprenticeship Program; describe in the case of learners who study at the Colégio Estadual do Espírito Santo legislation is being fulfilled in the working practices of Professional Learning courses; examine whether learning actually promotes vocational training or just social assistance. The methodology used was the case study, through guided interviews. Finally, as a result of the research it was realized that fundamental aspects of Lei Aprendizagem Profissional are not met the working practices of learners, especially their character of social assistance.
