Política de estado em relação ao menor e seus desdobramentos no Espírito Santo (1889-1927)

Abstract

In a context marked by the Proclamation of the Republic in Brazil and for the crisis of the slavery and for attempts of creating a job market, the subject of the childhood appeared as factor of great concern of the Brazilian authorities. The main objective of that dissertation is to study the problem of that childhood starting from the performance of Espírito Santo through the speeches of the Presidents of the State and of the legislation created in the state capital, between 1889 and 1927, front to the problem of the smallest "abandoned" statements in the streets of the city.
