The central theme of the thesis is the process of planning and construction of a pedagogical intervention in Physical Education classes in Elementary School based on the themes of gender, ethnicity and race diversity. The research was organized into two sequential modules that addressed these themes in a contextualized and intersectional way. Altogether, four 8th grade classes of Elementary School at CEEFMTI “Henrique Coutinho”, located in Iúna/ES, participated in the pedagogical actions, but for data collection, priority was given to the 8th grade class 03, due to it is a group in which gender, ethnicity and race diversity was more evident and interpersonal conflicts more present. There were 26 intervention classes (module 1 “Body and Identity” with 14 classes, and module 2 “Body, Ethnicity and Race” with 12 classes) in which an attempt was made to contextualize the contents of school PE to gender prejudices, such as machismo and lgbtphobia, and ethnic-racial, such as racism. As a result, it was observed that the action was significant and necessary, and that it is needed to continue giving space for discussions and deepening on these themes in the school environment. Some obstacles and adversities arose during the process but they did not stop the actions from being carried out, on the contrary, they showed the importance of approaching and discussing these issues more and more.
