Resumo

The production of music videos by groups and rap artists in the country grows every year. The research aims to analyze how the national rap music video, considering the transnational aesthetics of the audiovisual genre of Capixaba rappers - urban environments, clothing, dialects, among other elements -, reterritorialize a product of global mass culture. Has access to information technologies contributed for producers and artists to spread regional expression through techniques for capturing, editing and promoting the audiovisual throughout the world? The study intends to demonstrate the relevance of audiovisual products from the local rap scene in the political debate on the networks and as an instrument of counter-hegemonic expression based on a literature review based on Cultural Studies, documentary research and analysis of the three most accessed video clips of the genre rap developed in the State of Espírito Santo.
