Práticas artístico-culturais no contexto da educação profissional : um olhar a partir do IFES-Campus Vitória

Abstract

This research aims to discuss cultural and artistic practices that took place in the context of professional teaching at Instituto Federal do Espírito Santo (IFES). To reach this objective the study tries to understand how these students and teachers understand their daily performances, specially looking after the way they deal on different situations that ocurr along their livings. To discuss and comprehend the meaning of curriculum in educational context it is necessary to know and understand how choices in terms of this curriculum were made, as well as an approximation of the researcherer with the reality of school practices he is dealing with. With these curriculum discussions, the study tries to priorize different meanings that art and culture can promote in professional education. It tries to discuss and develop the idea of Boaventur\aa de Souza Santos about a new emancipatory commun sense comprehension. Art and culture were studied as possibilities to bring deep influences in cognitive habilities. The research tries to discuss theories found in the work of authors as Santos (2010), Silva (2005), Bobbit, Dewey, Giroux e Taylor (apud SILVA, 2005), Damásio (2007), Oliveira (2009).
