Resumo
This work aims to complement the study of Silva (2008) thus contributing to future studies on the subject. It was attempted to observe the change of behavior of corrosive-erosive wear, for different specimen diameters and jet velocities, for ABNT 8550 and stainless 301 steels. In addition, another objective was verification and analysis of galvanic interaction over the specimen diameter at yield conditions for ABNT 8550 under corrosion-erosion jet. Tests of pure erosion, erosion-corrosion, and corrosion were conducted in order to identify the presence of galvanic interaction with various parameters such as speed, materials used, specimen diameters and angle of the for the tests of pure erosion. For this, the equipment used was a jet of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Federal University of Uberlândia. The results are consistent with the literature and, just as Silva (2008), was also not verified the synergistic effect. The change in the rate of corrosion with the variation was found and the samples with smaller diameter showed a greater corrosion resistance than samples with larger diameters. Finally, the galvanic interaction was observed, proving it to be significant
