Resumo

This investigation is entailed to the Framenet Brasil Project and it takes the Frame Semantics as a theoretical basis, which is a study field founded by Fillmore (2006) and whose central postulate is: the linguistic meanings are relates to the conceptual scenes. This theoretical field is based on the notion of frames, which are conceptual schemes organized in such a way that, so as to comprehend any of its constitutive elements, it's mandatory to also comprehend all of its other elements. Language is observed from this view as a phenomenon linked to other human abilities. This research aims at describing the linguistic occurrences of the frame Experience bodily harm and its elements, considering some verbal lexical units which evoke it, for instance: Fracture, Hurt, Contuse, Sprain, Cut, Brake, Burn, Dislocate e Distend. This piece of work contributes to the FrameNet Brasil project data base, whose focus is to make a frame net of Brazilian Portuguese available. The methodology adopted were the standards developed by Ruppenhofer et al (2006) in the so called "The book", which establishes parameters for the lexicographic annotation. This annotation keeps records of the lexical unit syntactic and semantic (the valences) combinatory properties through the semantic labeling, i.e., of the nuclear and non-nuclear frame element labeling and its grammatical constituents (syntagmatic types and grammatical functions).
