Resumo

To speak of female representation in institutionalized politics is still to speak of absence. Despite the adoption of the gender by gender law in 1997, and with its reform in 2009, which mandatorily determines that each party must register a minimum of 30% of candidacies for women, it is still an affirmative action that is not reflected in a significant increase without a percentage of women elected. Inserting this theme, at the moment, the research claims to analyze the participation of women in politics in the state of Espírito Santo, not in the federal or federal burden, from 1982 to 2018. A methodology that mainly guides this research is in prosopography, as they were eight women were interviewed, namely: Brice Bragato, Fátima Couzi, Iriny Lopes, Lauriete Rodrigues, Luzia Toledo, Maria José Vellozo, Myrthes Bevilacqua and Raquel Lessa. These women are or are attractive in the same scenario: or legislative capixaba. The prosopography of legislators helps us to know more deeply the limits of the power exercised, as well as to identify which are the main main problems faced by women and to be inserted in the state policy. In addition, this study aims to understand the extent to which women in Espírito Santo have been legislating in favor of women's rights
