The good efficiency in a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) is of great importance for the environment. The management of electromechanical equipment installed in these stations is a major challenge due to the fact that they are installed in hard to reach places and unhealthy, hindering maintenance and making time for the correction of any flaws is dilated. This dissertation proposes the development of a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), in order to monitor electromechanical equipment installed in a Sewage Treatment Station, allowing the Concessionaire predictive control in real time. The design of a wireless sensor network for monitoring equipment requires not only the development and installation of the sensor modules, but also include the development of software for managing data collected. Thus, this dissertation includes a smallsize Zigbee WSN, adapted for monitoring of electromechanical equipment and environmental conditions of a WWTP, type stabilization lagoon, installed in an area of approximately 0.15 km² and average flow of 320 liters of per second. The experimental results show that this monitoring system can perform satisfactorily collection of performance parameters and quality assessment in the season.
