Produção do espaço urbano sob o discurso do desenvolvimento : o caso do Prima Città em Linhares/ES

Abstract

This paper is about the urban development of cities. Especifically on the real estate enterprise Prima Città, in the city of Linhares, in the state of Espírito Santo. The starting point is the understanding that the economic development of the city is not accompanied by a social development, therefore the existence of a discourse of the politics e media about the benefits of economic growth. By virtue of the growth of the population and the economy of the city, especially after the year 2000, the aim, here, is to analyze the role played by the Prima Cittá as a metaphor for the economic development of the city. To accomplish such goal, a study of public and journalistic documents was made.
