Resumo
This dissertation proposes an analysis of the poem Marcha (“March”), based on considerations about musicality in the poetry of Cecília Meireles (1901-1964), with the association between two systems of signification: poetry and music. In this sense, the analysis of the Marcha selected from the literary work Viagem (1939, “Journey”) contributes to evidence this link. It is also intended to investigate the structures that compose poetry, finding in them other meanings for poems, in addition to the traditional criticism proposes: we distance ourselves here from an ethereal vision, mystical and unrelated to reality. Elements such as melody, rhythm, anaphora, assonance and alliteration, among other poetic components that bring musicality to the poem, are in direct relation with the militant character of her work.
