This dissertation debates the work of the Reference Technician job in the Specialized Service and Protection for Families and Individuals (PAEFI), from the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS) in Vitória city (ES), in the light of Clínic of Activity, developed by Yves Clot (2006, 2010). Creas forms part of the Medium Complexity Protection of the National Social Assistance Policy (PNAS) and the Single Social Assistance System (SUAS). According to the perspective of the Clinic of Activity, to discuss labor one must put labor in focus, since as it changes, we better understand it. Hence, groups were formed with the workers of this service based on the Wheel Method proposed by Gastão Wagner Campos (2013), aiming at discussing the relevant working processes; thus, promoting professional dialogism. Labor needs constant attention for its renewal, which directly affects health labor and the service offered to the public. In research, the weakening of the reference technician job is observed, which has effects on the health of the worker and the provision of the service provided to the public. Ratifying the need to place the letter in focus for its discussion and renewal. In this context, the concept of transoficio was discussed in this research as ways to strengthen this profession.
