Trabalhadores da Biblioteca Universitária Christiano Dias Lopes Filho: um olhar sob a perspectiva da ergonomia francesa

Abstract

This study focused on the changes occurring in the world of work and how they impacted the nature of the services in the librarian sector. We sought to understand the mechanisms of adaptation and resilience developed by workers, taking as a reference guiding the ergonomics. As a study method was chosen by a qualitative and quantitative approach. The research subjects were the technical administrators of Agricultural Sciences Center of the Federal University of Espirito Santo, crowded in the University Library Christiano Dias Lopes Filho. As data collection instrument was used the Work Context Assessment Scale, validated by Mendes and Ferreira (2008), semi-structured interviews, in addition to holding direct observation of the field of study. For processing and analysis of data opted for the use of SPSS software and content analysis. The results revealed satisfaction with working conditions, demonstrating adequacy of the physical space of the library to the offered services. It stood out as critical indicator in the verification of this study, organization of services. How weak point, stood out the factors analyzed in the dimension that contextualized social and professional relationships, exposing that they should be strengthened through conflict mediation strategies developed collectively
