Education requires its professionals to adapt to the new reality found in the classroom, whether due to the new requirements relevant to the 21st century, or the persistence of failures in the full literacy of students. The promotion of Scientific Literacy is urgent, since the Brazilian Scientific Literacy Index is rudimentary, so there is a need for practices and studies to improve this index. This should be a factor of attention and included as a focus in the new Education Models, such as the Full-Time Models, which are increasingly common throughout the country. The State of Espírito Santo sought the construction and validation of a model for its Full-Time Schools on the principles of integral education, and among the contents of the diversified curriculum, there is the curricular component of Scientific Thought. A training material was built for this component, suggesting that teachers who take up their teaching seek to promote Scientific Literacy. It is pertinent in this context to assess whether the training of teachers who are able to teach it is efficient. This research investigates what is the concept of science and its methodology, pseudoscience with teachers of a full-time school. For this, an adapted International Form (VNOS-C) was used, applied online, and face-to-face training was given based on the content of the training material published by the State of Espírito Santo, with subsequent reapplication of the VNOS-C for comparison. The registered arguments were analyzed as well as the participation with questions, comments and statements of the professors who participated in the stages of this research. It was noticed that the training material had a slight positive effect on the Scientific Literacy of teachers, having a greater contribution in terms of recognizing Astrology as a pseudoscience. It is suggested to provide more formative moments in person to deepen the discussions that the material published by the State of Espírito Santo brings, being an important way to achieve a change to a satisfactory Scientific Literacy Index for teachers, their students and consequently the Brazilian society.
