With increased competition in Construction, also increased the level of demand from customers, making efforts to improve the quality were developed and implemented, aiming at customer satisfaction. But what we can see is that still the number complaints regarding service quality of construction is great, making quality experts might question regarding the effectiveness of quality programs. With this, the Six Sigma tool, usually applied to technical processes was considered to process nontechnical, such as construction, for her it is, and a quality tool, a management strategy that makes use of statistical tools for your application . The real problem of the construction when it comes to meeting deadlines, was presented and some numbers regarding sales drop due to this problem too. The main causes of delays when works says about planning and management and Six Sigma tool was analyzed focusing on the basic methodology in implementing the program, strategic and statistical approaches in the DMAIC cycle and its comparison with the PDCA cycle more common management processes and ultimately, the company that was the object of study, desired to reduce the backlog of his works and it was first necessary to define what the real situation and what are the main causes of delays held up phases define, measure and analyze the DMAIC cycle and results show that the inefficiency of the delivery of works within were obtained, which are below what the authors see as the industrial Average, the results being framed for uncompetitive firms. The causes of these problems are related, they are complex and must be individually researched in future research.
