Contribuições da robótica educacional para a aprendizagem de trigonometria na 1ª série do ensino médio de uma escola particular de Linhares-ES

Resumo

Exploratory research, carried out with 16 students from the First Grade of High School, from the “Eurico de Aguiar Salles” Activities Center (SESI) located in Linhares-ES. It seeks to answer the following research problem: What contributions does Educational Robotics provide to the Trigonometry learning process, considering its application in conjunction with problem solving? Its general objective is to identify contributions from the use of Educational Robotics as a didactic resource for learning Trigonometry and its specific objectives are: (1) to develop and apply a plan for teaching Trigonometry, combining Educational Robotics with problem solving; (2) observe and evaluate the Trigonometry learning process by a high school class submitted to the developed teaching plan. Thus, the research path involves the application of a didactic sequence in the form of workshops, in which students solve problem-situations in trigonometry using robotics. The research is theoretically based on Papert's Constructionism (2004, 2008) and more current sources on Educational Robotics, such as Campos (2013, 2019), Araújo and Mafra (2015), Barbosa, Silva and Blikstein (2019), D'Abreu and Bastos (2015), D'Abreu and Reis (2019). For data analysis, it employs Discursive Textual Analysis following the criteria of Moraes (2003). Among the results, it was possible to observe how concepts and definitions are constructed by students, as well as how they organize ideas in a logical sequence. Furthermore, it was found that the use of Educational Robotics in a Constructionist environment provides students with the development of investigative practices by solving problems via experimentation, in addition to enabling them to use something they have just learned in concrete situations. In broader terms, in addition to the specific aspect of learning Mathematics, it is important to highlight the contribution of Educational Robotics as a resource for social and personal training, through which students can apply and improve their creativity, imagination, autonomy and teamwork.
