This historiographic research investigates the process of inclusion of African and AfroBrazilian historical narratives in History and Pedagogy degree courses at the Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (UFES), from 1990 to 2010. Developed from the perspective of the evidentiary paradigm, in dialogue with theories and methods of Italian microhistory, particularly with the writing of history proposed by historians Carlo Ginzburg (2001; 2002; 2006; 2007; 2012A; 2012b) and Giovanni Levi (1992; 1998; 2000; 2020), uses as sources institutional documents, curricula and teaching programs, textbooks and journalistic articles on the subject. In the context of the social, political, cultural and economic transformations that took place in the investigated period, it analyzes pressure exerted by social movements for the approval of laws 10.639/2003 and 11.645/2008 and their consequences in the context of teacher training.
