Perfil dos usuários acamados elegíveis para assistência domiciliar no município de Vitória - ES, 2019-2020

Abstract

Introduction: In recent years, an increase in the life expectancy of the population in the world has been noticed in Brazil. Thus, disease increases their quality of life and diseases are not fundamental to their quality of life. A home care modality favors the treatment of these patients, who often have mobility difficulties. In 2011, the Federal Government launched the Better at Home Program, for structuring Home Care. Home Care is a modality of health care at home, integrated into the networks of health care actions, treatment of diseases, assistance, palliation and health promotion. Objective: To outline the profile of bedridden users who provide home care in the city of Vitória – ES. Methodology: This is an exploratory and descriptive research with an analysis approach. The research was developed in the city of Vitória – ES. The epidemiological profile of bedridden patients eligible for home care was identified through electronic medical records. The data collected refer to the years 2019 and 2020. Results: Most patients were female, the same above 75 vulnerability, white, married or stable, with medium family risk and high clinicalfunctional index. Final Considerations: From the data collected, it is possible to develop protocols and flowcharts to implement the Better at Home Program in that municipality. Characterizing the profile of patients to be treated in the program allows the direction of the teams, aiming to provide quality care.
