Avaliação do risco cardiovascular e fatores associados na população de Anchieta-ES

Resumo

Cardiovascular diseases are the leading causes of death in the world and are many risk factors for these diseases. The objective is to investigate the cardiovascular risk for acute coronary events according to the Framingham score in the adult population of the municipality of Anchieta-ES. Cross sectional analysis of data from the study Carmen, Anchieta baseline, started in 2010. The sample was systematic and stratified by micro area covered by the Family Health Units, sex and age and 539 people were selected for this study because their data were complete. Data were collected through interviews at home, laboratory blood tests, blood pressure and anthropometry in the health units. The exposure variables are education, race-color, family income, living in urban or rural areas, marital status, alcohol consumption, physical activity, body mass index and self-rated health. To determine cardiovascular risk it was used the Framingham score. Performed bivariate analysis and multinomial logistic regression to test the hypothesis of association between the variables and the risk of cardiovascular by Odds ratio with 95% confidence interval. The level of significance was p <0.05. The results show a predominance of people in the age groups between 25 to 54 years old, married, brown, incomplete primary education, low income, insufficiently active, overweight and obesity in more than half of the sample, 38.6% drank alcohol and 55, 7% reported very good or good health. Cardiovascular risk was low in 74%, intermediate in 11.3 and 14.7% high. Were associated with intermediate cardiovascular risk being illiterate 8.556 (1.473 to 49.692) and widowed / separated 2.839 (1.166 to 6.912) and associated with high cardiovascular risk being illiterate 27.259 (3.027 to 245.492) and self-assessment of very bad health / bad 4,013 (1.270- 12.681) and regular 2,485 (1.341 to 4.604).
