This research aims to think about how the derogatory social imaginary produced about black women determines, for these women, peculiar subjective configurations. I deepen the debate on the historical-cultural roots of the phenomenon and how it is constantly improved and updated. To build this reasoning, I count on the contribution of psychoanalysis, highlighting the dialogue of a Freudian construction on male tendencies to depreciation in the sphere of love with the concept of images of control introduced by Patricia Hill Collins, which situates the crossings of racism and machismo. about the subject. In order to understand how the subjectivity of the black woman is constituted in the midst of negotiation with images of control woven over her, and how she constructs subjective solutions in the face of the oppressions suffered, I present the report of three black women, collected through non-directive interviews.
